Re: [forensic-science] Forensic Audio

 

Sir,

These recordings are so unusual in that they are of a non linear
acoustic transmission from quite a distance and the audio editing and
engineering are so strange that they meet the description of uses of acoustic
recordings used for specific purposes. I spoke to an engineer at  caltrans and
he said it would probably be the first time that recordings of this nature were
brought to court as evidence. Its gona be hard for people to get there head
around the fact that someone could or would do this to someone. Look at my
examples on Flikr(David K. Osburn) and Youtube(davidosburn1) those are just some
random recordings. I have around 1500 recordings and confermation of nonlinear
nature of the signal. The voices are probably not extractable on the youtube
recordings.
