Loggerhead turtle rescued from fishing line

NAPLES: A loggerhead turtle was accidentally entangled in a fishing line at the Naples Pier. Several people helped free the turtle from the dangerous situation.

While inspecting the turtle, the rescuers noticed the turtle also had a wire wrapped around its shell.

The Naples Beach Patrol, Marine Patrol and Code Enforcement helped cut the fishing line from the turtle and remove the wire from its shell.

The turtle swam away unharmed.
