RE: [forensic-science] Input requested on rather different topic

Ward's has some really nice (somewhat spendy) educational kits. I've used them in my high school forensic class for ease of use. They are fun and easy to understand and have great scientific value. I don't know if it would work for him by himself, but would make for a great birthday party activity.

Subject: [forensic-science] Input requested on rather different topic

Hi everyone!

As a crime writer I've mostly been lurking of late. However, I have an ll-year-old grandson who's getting frustrated with his microscope and other beginner gear. I'm hoping to stimulate his budding scientific interest. Are there any websites and/or other sources that would be age appropriate for him to obtain real forensic information and run rudimentary experiments that are real rather than toylike simulations?

Any response would be appreciated and if this is inappropriate for general posting, please feel free to contact me offline at L_B_Moniz@Yahoo.com<mailto:L_B_Moniz%40Yahoo.com>.

Many thanks and happy holidays.

Best,

Larry Moniz
