Whale stranding & earthquake link A pod of fifty Melon-headed whales were stranded on the east coast of Japanese coast between Sendai and Tokyo at Mito, Ibaraki Prefecture on 6th March 2011. As consistently noted by me over the years, my hypothesis on a strong link between cetacean strandings and earthquakes was again demonstrated to be worthy of serious and unbiased looking into by geologists and marine biologists. Just a few days after the reported whale deaths, on 11th March, Japan was devastated by a massive earthquake and the resultant tsunami. Dr. Arunachalam Kumar Mangalore, India

As the guardians of humanity, our loving self aware beings of the sea, were communicating to us to take warning, quite a loving act, considering how they are hunted so aggressively, let us pray and honor all families of the land and sea, as the sudden loss has deeply effected many.
