Job Opportunity:

Be part of a young community based turtle conservation project in the Perhentian Islands with Help Our Penyu. We are looking for a Bahasa Malaysian speaking recent graduate or someone looking to gain experience in community development. The selected person will be expected to lead our weekly 3 hour after-school marine club with children aged 9-11 years old, conduct a social survey and organise outreach sessions for the Perhentian villagers whilst co-ordinating foreign volunteers. PLEASE NOTE, YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO LIVE IN KAMPONG PULAU PERHENTIAN FOR A PERIOD OF 4 MONTHS.

Suitable for

Bahasa Malaysia speaking fresh graduate looking for experience in community development. The selected candidate will need to be comfortable at working largely alone with direction from foreign management whilst living independently in the HOPE house in Kampong Pulau Perhentian. The candidate should want to teach children aged 8-11 years old and want to help facilitate programmes for the villagers of Kampong Pulau Perhentian.
