[MARINE_BIOLOGY_INTERNATIONAL] dugongs washed ashore

Dear Friends,

Its not a good news but let me to share that a beautiful, huge dogong (about nearly 1000 kg) has washed ashore on the coast of Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu recently.  The body showed the scars of boat or net accident.

It is such a shame that we lost another beautiful creature from our coast, while talking loudly about conservation.  Sorry for this comment, but its true.

We need rigid action to identify its feeding ground and to have restricted fishing.  What we lost is lost but we can do still have hope that this dead animal showed - "we have still beautiful things to preserve".
