Remembering 35+ years ago, they made a delicious dish. Over the years this delicacy has lost its taste. OK, but not the same.
I'm guessing that I'm now eating haddock or Arctic Cod instead of the delicious North Atlantic Cod. I was disappointed in English fish&chips in Wales, Kent, Cotswalds, and along Loch Ness. Old grease, tasteless white fish etc.
I try to sample this dish where ever I go. I remember a great meal on the western coast of Cape Breton,NS and of course Ivar's acres along piers of Seattle. I found several tasty meals along the coast of the South Island, NZ. There is a restaurant in Galveston named Guidos that serves excellent fish.
I was wondering if the readers could mention some places they have found in USA and around the world so that we could try out as we travel around. As an aside, the elusive best hot dog place in Chicago would be appreciated if someone knows from experience.
