CLEARWATER --

The Clearwater Marine Aquarium will now be home to two more stars of the movie "Dolphin Tale."

Ricky and Lucy, a pair of African great white pelicans, together played Rufus, a mischevious pelican who hangs around the aquarium in the movie.

On Friday, the pelicans will be welcomed to the aquarium, where fans of the movie will now have the opportunity to meet them.

"Dolphin Tale" is a dramatization of the story of Winter, the dolphin who lost her tail in a crab trap and learned to swim with a prosthetic tail.

The birds were trained in California, and had appeared in the movie "Zohan," starring Adam Sandler, before starring in "Dolphin Tale."

The pelicans are seven years old and they can live well into their 60s.

Aquarium officials hope the pelicans will bring awareness to other wildlife along the coastal waters.
